At Martinsburg Elementary, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and connected. This year, our schoolwide focus is belonging. We want every student, family, and staff member to know that they are an important part of our MES family.
Belonging means more than simply being present. It means feeling accepted, supported, and encouraged to be your authentic self. It means knowing that your voice matters, your strengths are celebrated, and you always have people who care about your success.
Throughout the year, students will participate in activities, celebrations, and classroom experiences designed to strengthen relationships, build teamwork, and create a positive school culture where everyone feels they belong. Our goal is for every child to walk through our doors each morning knowing they are safe, respected, and valued.

These expectations help us create a school where learning thrives because relationships come first. Together, we will celebrate achievements, encourage one another through challenges, and continue building a community where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
